Information You Send Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Baytown Residents Directory does not retain its own copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Hosting services may create standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Limited Data Is Used
That information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
Links Beyond This Service
Baytown Residents Directory links to public offices, record portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy practices of those destinations control information submitted there. That includes sponsored results supplied by an outside provider.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic data described above. We release information when valid legal process requires it and otherwise do not disclose it.
Safeguards for Information
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only as long as the listed purposes require. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or resident profiles stored by Baytown Residents Directory.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on your circumstances, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of website data. Texas identifies consumer privacy rights through the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, effective July 1, 2024. Because Baytown Residents Directory retains very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Texas, county, or city custodians are outside our control, and requests about those records belong with the office that maintains them.
